The meeting was called to order. Those attending were Larry, John, Don, Skip, Dawn, Tina, Jackie, Paula, Mike and Joni.
PIONEER FEST
Discussed staffing at different places. Mike wants a sign for Future Home of Town of Saratoga Town Hall. Signs for the fishermen will be put up. The flies will be put up tomorrow.
Ann R. is ill and may not make it. Mike’s granddaughters will be there and in costume. Tickets will be given at the gate. Discussed passports and neighborhood passes. Also discussed having a hand-washing station.
Joni will get a list of people for checks to Paula – the checks will go out on Monday. She will also check on Haggett’s Battery. They have a 1500 – 1600’s cannon. Maybe do a Revolutionary War Day Jully 4, 2025 for the 250th.
CRANBERRY BLOSSOM FEST
What should be done at the booth was discussed. Best to have crafting things and lady stuff as it will be at the Quilt Show. Joni will call Mike with the size of the vendor booth at the show.
SHEEP TO SHAWL
Felting will be done. Charged for equipment used. This class would be a free-will donation class. We need to get it on the website.
SCHOOL GROUPS
We have had a group sign up for fall already. We have had 622 people at the site during spring – 106 parents and 455 students.
The Nekoosa library has Little House on the Prairie display boards – these would be great for the Saratoga Town Hall.
We got a new lawn mower. Thank you to Don and Mark.
The Legacy Foundation will let us know about a grant mid-June.
Paula suggested having a Car Show out at the site as a fundraiser. Larry suggested a Carriage Show might be better. There was some discussion.
Skip mentioned having an event involving the Fire Department. Mike suggested a Cow Milking Contest.
The Garden Club came to clean up the gardens at the site. The garden is not planted yet. There is water now.
Joni made a motion to adjourn the meeting – seconded by Tina. Meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Joni Wolf, Secretary
