The meeting was called to order. Those who attended were Larry, Mike, Johann, Skip, Brian, Don, Bill, Tom W, Tina and Joni.

CIVIL WAR DAYS

A special thank you to Johann and Don for what they did for this event – it was over the top. The battles were discussed. Craig Hoffman was a great Abraham Lincoln. Larry commented that the drummer and piccolo player were good. There was a lot to hand out at the gate. A brochure should be considered in the future with a map of where everything is and a printed schedule. People can visit the camps. If the flap of a tent is closed, you should not enter. Two people are needed for each shift at the gate. It was the first time for the Food Truck and Scott Keller. The food was excellent. Maybe we will have more options next time, for kids and/or vegetarians. There was some discussion. Maybe shorten the scavenger hunt. Send a thank you to Laurie Tenpas for her extra efforts at the gate. Things need to be labeled in the outhouse.

There were some glass negatives that were donated to the site. Maybe this could be used as a fundraiser for us. Eric Nelson, the photographer at the event, had a chance to look at them.

HARVEST FAIR

Mike said we are pretty well set. Still need someone in the cabin. We will have to get in touch with Ann.

Bill mentioned the Museum’s Scavenger Hunt is in the community. Would Historic Point Basse be interested in this? Yes! They will let us know in advance how we will be included.

SPIRIT WALK

So far, we have 3 spirits and need about 4 more. Skip said the Scouts could be involved with this. Larry will be at the Bonfire talking about the site, etc.

SCHOOL GROUPS

Luke needs a list of people to work on this. 5 school groups signed up and one wants a later date in the season. Luke needs a list of people to help with reenacting.

WATER BUFFALO

We will send a formal request to the City of Nekoosa for water to full a cube instead of using the water buffalo. If they can’t help, Skip said we can get water from him. We can transport the cube with Don’ts trailer. We need potable water.

WATER AND BATHROOMS ON SITE

Joni asked if we could add installing a modern bathroom with running water to the 5-year plan. Don said we could apply for grant money to do this. Will drillers have to go 40 – ft or so and they hit rusty water. There was some discussion. We have a bathroom and running water on the other side of the creek at the schoolhouse. Don said maybe Legacy would be an option to apply for a grant. Mike said we should have a well driller come and look at the site. Tina knows someone who could do this. Don said maybe have it between the pavilion and the house. There was more discussion. Tina suggested maybe having it in the small parking area off the road opposite the barn where it would be easily accessible. However, that may be in a flood plain. Get Kyle Roth out there to see what he thinks. Brian will get ahold of Kyle. Maybe combine the summer kitchen and a bathroom. (?) Tom W. suggested the solar farm could help fund the bathroom. There was more discussion.

On Wednesday at 2:00, Tina, roger and Mike will meet with Craig Timm about the Domtar property.

Tom asked if we heard any more about the bike trail and Town of Saratoga. We did not.

ADJOURNED

Joni made a motion to adjourn, seconded ty Mike. Meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
