The meeting was called to order. Those attending were Brooke, Greg and Linda, Paula, Ann, Tina, Brian, Larry, Mike, Johann, Don, Tom, and Joni.
HARVEST FAIR
This is pretty much ready to go. Dawn and Brooke will be in the house. Don and Luke in the 3-Bay Shed. Tom, Tina, and Bonnie will be at the gate. Larry will be in the bunkhouse, while Joe and Tom will be in the Cabin. Johan will be in the barn, and Luanne and Kathy Lee will be in the Schoolhouse. Ann will run the “store,” and Joni will be doing taste sampling.
We need to have passports at the gate, and the kids’ prizes will be at the house. Ann will sell Jams and Jellies, and we discussed selling bags of apples. Ann volunteered to help sort and bag them.
SPIRIT WALK –
Mike is working on getting people to be “spirits.” He would like to have 6 or 7of them. Paula and Mark can help, as can Brooke. Mike will leave on the 13th. We will use the 715-459-1722 number for people to call regarding this event.
SCHOOL GROUPS –
We have five groups so far that have inquired, and three are confirmed. Paula told us about which groups are coming and on what days. We need to obtain more beeswax for candle-making. Ann has a couple of spools of wick thread that she can donate.
There was some discussion regarding the Wild Roots Home Schooling Group and what they would like to do at the site, such as volunteering and foraging.
Mike said that MOMMC will be in Illinois this year.
Two boys went into the new basement of the house and took out a bunch of wood, then started a fire down by the river. The police were called, and we discussed how to proceed with this situation.
Mike made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Don. Meeting adjourned at 7:10.
